What a wonderful day. Thanks so much. The rescue was great! |
Beginners are welcome Great experience for beginners like us. We do not compromise on safety
Your guides guarantee a quality experience Loved it. My first time.
Glenn and Kristen are your Dover guides: Glenn Coltman, operating out of our East Dover location for the fourth year, has been kayaking in Nova Scotia for over 10 years, often all 12 months of the year! Glenn, a "Adventure Diploma" graduate is equally certified in First Aid, is a Paddle Canada Instructor in sea kayaking and canoeing, a certified sea kayak guide and a Rescue Canada Swiftwater Specialist. Along with his partner, Kristen, a certified Natural Nutritionist with a keen interest in local wildflowers, they will ensure a memorable experience for all. We want to thank Glenn for a great kayak trip. Liability Note - A rescue is a very unusual event on our tours, but they are practiced by our experienced guides and done quickly when required. Statistically on our tours, out of every 200 paddlers in single kayaks, 1 may capsize. In doubles it is extremely unlikely to ever happen. In this unlikely event all that happens is that you get wet. You are wearing a life jacket and your guide will have you back in the kayak and into dry clothes that are carried in a dry bag in minutes. We also carry hot water and coffee, tea or hot chocolate to help warm you up, and a full range of first aid and rescue gear. On a hot day you may even decide to enjoy the cool water! Paddle Canada Sea Kayaking Level 2 Skill Course Level-2 course includes/covers: overnight touring and intermediate boat handling.
